American Chop Suey

This is one of our family favorites for those quick
meals that everyone enjoys.

  Makes 8 servings
  Prep Time: 10 minutes
  Total Time: 30 minutes
  Ease of Preparation: Easy

  1 lb ground turkey (93% lean)
  ½ cup onion chopped
  ½ cup sweet bell peppers chopped (any color)
  1 (48 oz jar) prepared pasta sauce (Prego/ Ragu) see Tip
  1 15 oz can diced tomatoes, undrained
  ½ cup zucchini chopped
  ¼ cup celery chopped
  8 oz elbow macaroni

1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain.

2. While macaroni is cooking, brown meat, onions and peppers over medium-high heat. 

3. Add the zucchini and celery, when everything is warm, add pasta sauce and canned tomatoes. Reduce heat.

4. Add cooked macaroni to meat and tomato mixture and mix well.

Tips & Tricks:
Tip: To reduce the sodium, use Prego 'Heart Smart' varieties for pasta sauce.
