Country Soup Starter Mix (Gluten Free) Contents of jar: Ingredients: millet, green lentils, wild rice blend, split peas, minced dried onions, red lentils, Italian seasoning (oregano, basil, marjoram, thyme, parsley and rosemary) Recipe: Makes 12 servings, 1 1/2 cup each Prep Time: 10 minutes Total Time: 1 hour and 10 minutes Ease of Preparation: Easy Ingredients 6 cups reduced sodium, low fat broth 1 jar Country Soup Mix 2 carrots, sliced 2 stalks of celery, chopped 1 (15oz) cans of low sodium diced tomatoes 24 oz low sodium vegetable cocktail juice (like V-8) 1 lb ground beef or turkey, 93% lean (or leftover meat) Preparation Brown the ground turkey in a large kettle or dutch oven (if using meat). Add celery and carrots, sauté for 3 minutes, add broth, Country Soup Mix and remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, cover and simmer for 1 hour, or until vegetables are cooked.
